Through collecting, processing and using your personal data while you are visiting our homepage, it is very important to us that your data be secure and protected. For this reason, we conduct the activities associated with our website in accordance with the laws governing data protection and data security. We collect personal data for the sole purpose of contacting membership applicants or for those signing up for our newsletter. The following data are recorded in these cases:

  • names of breweries (on applications)
  • contact persons in breweries (on applications)
  • addresses (on applications)
  • e-mail addresses (on applications and on registration forms for the newsletter)


Processing the data made available to us by you is used exclusively for internal purposes by MEBAK e.V. Sharing your data with us is, of course, voluntary.


If you provide us with your personal data, we will use the data for the sole purposes of answering your enquiries, executing signed contracts or for technical administration. Your personal data will only be disclosed to third parties or otherwise transmitted if this is required for the purpose of completing a contractual order, specifically the transfer of the details of an order to suppliers. The data may also be shared if required for billing purposes or with your prior permission. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time, which is effective immediately to all future communications and transactions. Your stored personal data will be deleted immediately when you revoke your consent to the storage of said data, given that this information is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which the data were stored or if storing the data is no longer permissible for other legal reasons.


To perform certain activities, which are relevant to the processing of data as described above, our organization also occasionally relies on external service providers. These external entities perform their respective tasks as required by law, such as the finance ministries, tax authorities, government institutions, etc.

For the performance of certain activities relating to the processing of personal data referred to above, our association also relies on external agents performing appropriate activities, such as the Ministry of Finance, the tax and ministerial bodies and any other subject provided for by law.

We use “activation of IP anonymization” on this website. 1) Right of access by the data subject (Art. 15 DSGVO)

You have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not your personal data are being processed. If this indeed the case, access to the personal data and the following information, e.g. the purposes of the data processing, the recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period.

2) Right of rectification and completion (Art. 16 DSGVO)

You have the right to obtain without undue delay the rectification of any portion of your personal data should the data be inaccurate. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, the data subject shall have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.

3) Right of erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (Art. 17 DSGVO)

You have the right to obtain the erasure of your personal data without undue delay as long as said data are not required for processing. This would, for example, be the case if your data were no longer required for the purpose they were originally collected, you withdraw consent upon which the data processing was based or your personal data have been unlawfully processed.

4) Right to a restriction on data processing (Art. 18 DSGVO)

You have the right to obtain a restriction on the processing of your personal data, for example, if you are of the opinion that your personal data are incorrect.

5) Right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO)

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

6) Right to object (Art. 21 DSGVO)

You have the right, on grounds relating to your own particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data.

Where personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to processing of your personal data for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.

7) Right to withdraw your consent as it pertains to the data protection laws (Art. 7, paragraph 3 DSGVO)

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time concerning the processing of your personal data in the future. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawful nature of processing your personal data based on your consent prior to its withdrawal.

8) You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 DSGVO in conjunction with § 19 BDSG), if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes upon this regulation.

You may file a complaint in this regard with the regulatory authority listed below which oversees us in accordance with the provisions of the DSGVO and BDSG, among others:
